                                    Homosexuality
Today, there is growing acceptance of the concept that homosexuality and lesbianism is a choice. While it is understandable that non-Christians could follow that idea, when Christians start accepting and believing that it is a valid way of life they cannot continue to biblically call themselves Christians.

First, let me state that Christianity does not condone or support any violence or aggression against anyone that has a different faith or is from a different race. In these postings, I shall contend, using the Bible, to show Bible teachings on what to believe with respect to homosexuality; that it is a sin.

Before I do so though, let me first establish that a Christian must accept the Bible as the sole authority for Christianity. There is no Christianity without the Bible. It is God's message to mankind giving us what HE wants!

(UKJV: II Timothy Chapter 3
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness).
(II Peter 3:16-17, II Timothy 2:15)

The point is that, we are not free to interpret the scriptures any way we choose. Contracts are made between two parties. We, on becoming Christians, agree to abide by the laws given by Christ through the Apostles. The contract, the New Testament, is a unilateral contract, made by one side (God). We accept it or leave it. Accepting it, we acknowledge that it is from God and we agree to obey his commands.

(UKJV: II Peter Chapter 1
[20] Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. [21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.).

All the arguments saying, ... thats the way you interpret the Bible ... are totally inapplicable. We do not have that privilege. If one is a Christian, one must follow the Bible and if God is the author, we are obliged to study to understand his message or his interpretation! Jesus in one of his parables, explained that the Bible is like a seed; it bears fruits according to its kind.

(UKJV: Genesis Chapter 1
[12] And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.)
(UKJV: Luke Chapter 8
[11] Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God)

My opinion, your opinion and / or our interpretation is of no importance. The word of God is planted (taught) to let man know the Christian principles, rules and standards. It follows therefore that the only fruits (results) that can be reaped (produced) are Christians. If the word of God is modified, it ceases to be the word of God.

(UKJV: Matthew Chapter 15
[8] This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. [9] But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.)
UKJV: Matthew Chapter 7
[21] Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven
(I Corinthians 6:9; I Timothy 1:10)

Pay attention to the sections that I underlined. Christians are those who do God's will. Good works are irrelevant to salvation if the practitioner is not in obedience to God's instructions. With God, there is no gray; you are either for or against him.

If you do not agree that the Bible is the only source of Christian authority, check this out:

(UKJV: Matthew Chapter 28
[18] And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. [19] Go all of you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.)

Jesus has all power (other translations use; authority) in heaven and on earth. What authority or power does that leave man? Remember, Jesus has ALL POWER! So then, how is it that denominations can change Bible principles? By what authority can they allow divorce for any reason, women priests, homosexuality and homosexual priests when the Bible expressly forbids them?

(UKJV: Romans Chapter 1
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. [26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: [27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. [28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;)  (underlining is mine)

Some may argue that the apostles (or people) wrote the Bible, not God. To them I pose this question: if God cannot use men, how can he be God? In the same light, humans (men and women) never write anything, the pen does the writing. But where did the information come from for the pen to write? Where did the 40 men of God who wrote, get their cohesiveness during the 1,500 years of the Old Testament and the 100 years of the New Testament? How could they be so knowledgeable about things we know today are facts and / or truths and were contrary to conventional knowledge?

(UKJV: Isaiah Chapter 40
[21] Have all of you not known? have all of you not heard? has it not been told you from the beginning? have all of you not understood from the foundations of the earth? [22] It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:)
(underlining is mine)
(I Timothy 1:10)

The Bible pronounced the earth to be circular during the time when men thought the earth was flat. The Bible appreciated that when looking on the earth from high in the sky, people would look very, very, small! This passage implies the eternity or immense vastness of outer space.

With respect to marriage, God is the one who instituted marriage.

(UKJV: Genesis Chapter 2
[21] And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; [22] And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. [23] And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.)

Note two things: (1) Man should leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. This union is between male and female. (2) Woman came from the man, not man from man or woman from woman. Marriage is therefore ordained by God to be between male and female. All the protest in the world cannot change that. Earlier, we read about man changing the natural use of woman and of men desiring men instead of women (Rom 1:26-27). Homosexuality is not to be accepted by Christians. It is forbidden by God!

It is clear, to be Christian, one must follow the Bible's teachings which are not subject to man's interpretations. Homosexuality is not, definitely NOT, a natural desire. God made man and he has said that homosexuality is sin. Sin is simply, disobeying God.

The fact of the matter is that, marriage cannot be between males or between females. It is an institution created by God. Civil law might allow it but should not. In ancient Rome (which does not exist anymore) homosexuality was rampant and officially recognized and practised. Before then, it was Sodom & Gomorrah. As Christians we comply with the civil law when it does not deviate from God's law.

(UKJV: Acts Chapter 5
[29] Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men)

So, although the civil law might allow divorce for any reason, homosexual marriages or unions, Christians cannot operate as if homosexuality is now acceptable to God. In closing, although the Bible does not support the idea that homosexuality is acceptable to God and while the laws of the land permit homosexual marriages or unions, Christians are still to treat people who are homosexual as people. However, all Christians are to stand against the state legalizing homosexuality as a valid right. Those of us Christians who condone, support or facilitate this concept will give an account to God. Those who say that God will allow it, and that we must modernize or equate this situation with slavery, woman's rights or racial equality are deceivers. Politicians do it to get votes and / or, they are not Christians (I don't use the word 'true' because you are either a Christian or not). If you have God's private mobile number please put it in your post. I need it.

I challenge anyone, to show using the Bible, that what I have stated above is incorrect! If you don't it means that you agree and accept the teachings of the Bible .

 UKJV: James Chapter 4 [17]
Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.
